About Achievement Network
Over the last seven years, The Achievement Network (ANet) has worked alongside school leadership teams to strengthen their school-wide practice and culture of using learning standards and achievement data to get breakthrough results for students in low-income communities. ANet began by serving a small cohort of Massachusetts schools in 2005 and now serves over 350 schools across seven regions.
Given rapid changes to the data-driven instruction landscape (including the advent of Common Core), ANet partnered with Bellwether to develop a five-year strategic plan that responds to market and customer needs and builds on existing core competencies.
Bellwether helped ANet evaluate the changing market landscape through interviews and focus groups with over 40 current customers, potential customers, thought leaders, and policy experts. Using the findings, Bellwether facilitated a process to help the ANet team and board to define a vision, intended impact, and key strategic initiatives to achieve vision and impact. Bellwether supported development of a five-year strategic plan and financial model.
By 2017, 250,000 students will attend the 850 partner schools across the country where every teacher uses data and standards to ensure that each student is on a path to college and career success. ANet will accomplish this by becoming a game-changing academic achievement partner to schools and districts/CMOs, helping teachers and leaders successfully transition to the Common Core by illuminating their path with breakthrough data insights.
While data and assessments are commonly referenced, schools often lack the capacity to effectively use data or to implement routines that drive changes in instruction to close gaps in student mastery. ANet combines standards-aligned assessments and data-analysis coaching to get breakthrough results for students in low-income communities.
