We support leaders through a blend of grant-funded programs to benefit the field at large and customized consulting services for organizations and individuals in public education. Our activities focus on four primary areas of expertise:
- thought leadership and publishing for the field,
- leadership and organizational development,
- strategic advising and consulting, and
- executive search and senior talent recruitment and placement.
Bellwether’s programs and services are aimed at improving leadership in education at a crucial moment for our country when our goal of a more equitable democratic society as well as our changing economy demand dramatically better outcomes from our public education system.
How We Operate
Bellwether Education Partners’ team of experienced leaders provides successful education change agents and their champions with the guidance and coordination they need to take their impact to the next level, share their stories about successes and lessons, and create a policy environment more hospitable to their work.
Bellwether is a hybrid organization bringing together a team of accomplished individuals with demonstrated experience and expertise in performance-driven education reform. Combining the expertise of our team, we are an “action tank” – at once a generator of innovative and purposeful reform ideas as well as a provider of direct services and momentum-building activity for the field. Bellwether’s partners lead their own areas of work based on greatest expertise but also work together on projects in which their combined expertise is much greater than the sum of the parts.
We do not cover the waterfront like some large consulting firms. Instead, by remaining strictly focused in our areas of expertise and the needs of underserved students in America, we provide unparalleled leadership, support, wisdom, and experience to help build the field of education change agents and help the organizations they lead to have the greatest impact possible. We are a nimble and largely virtual organization that combines an exceptional core full-time staff with a highly coordinated network of best-in-class part-time consultants.
