Why I do this work: I became interested in education work while teaching abroad during high school summers. These experiences heightened my awareness of the racial and economic disparities playing out within my public high school. I’ve worked on domestic and international education issues ever since, and have come to believe that education is the strongest lever for progress and prosperity that we have.
