Background: Nick Allen is a consultant with Bellwether Education Partners in the Strategic Advising practice area. Prior to joining Bellwether, Nick worked at Arbor Brothers, a philanthropic fund that provides financial support and consulting services to early-stage nonprofits in New York. Nick began his career as a fourth grade teacher through Teach For America. He then led an education nonprofit in rural Mississippi and managed digital products at a global education company. Nick has a bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Brown University. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts and enjoys soccer.
Why I do this work: I observed firsthand the predictive powers of education throughout my years in formal schooling and even more starkly during my time as a classroom teacher. I believe that all young people have the right to an excellent education, regardless of who they are or where they live.
