Background: Tanya Skubiak is an associate partner in Bellwether Education Partners’ Strategic Advising practice area. Since joining Bellwether in 2017, Tanya has worked on a range of strategic planning, market assessment, grant writing, organizational design, and implementation support projects with charter and district schools, foundations, and mission-aligned for- and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Bellwether, Tanya spent nearly five years as a member of Deloitte’s public sector strategy and operations practice, where she supported federal clients in strategic planning, process design, business development, and implementation support. She also served as an Education Pioneers Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education, where she designed and managed a pilot incubator program for education-focused app development. Tanya holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Why I do this work: My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. having gone no further than eighth grade in their education. First they, and later my parents, worked hard to give me access to a quality education. I am very grateful for the privilege and opportunities my family afforded me and cannot think of a better way to pay it forward than by giving back to the education sector through my work with Bellwether.
