Background: Rob Granados is a consultant with Bellwether Education Partners in the Strategic Advising practice area. Prior to joining Bellwether, Rob served as an Education Pioneers Fellow at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he supported the development of a district-charter compact and conducted a landscape analysis of career and technical education pathways. He also spent eight years as an early childhood educator in Houston, primarily at KIPP Texas Public Schools. While in the classroom, he supported multiple regional initiatives, including the implementation of a new math curriculum and the alignment of standards across eight primary schools. Rob began his career as a Teach For America corps member.
Rob received an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Harvard College. He currently resides in Houston.
Why I do this work: As a first-generation college graduate born to immigrant field workers, my lived experience has demonstrated the transformational power of education. I firmly believe that a high-quality education is a means to economic mobility and a choice-filled life. I am dedicated to pursuing educational equity so that people from all communities can reach their full potential.
